The route
From Didim the road climbs to Söke, continues north on the D525 and reaches Selçuk on the Izmir–Aydın road (D550). Measured from Didim centre: the ruins of Ephesus 94.9 km, Selçuk town 91.9 km and Şirince 99.6 km.
A sample day
- Morning: leave Didim or Altınkum — around 1 h 24 min on the road.
- Late morning: the ancient city of Ephesus.
- Afternoon: Selçuk town and the winding road up to Şirince.
- Evening: back to Didim — with a stop at Priene or Miletus on the way if you like.
